The Tournament
The Toot Byron Cup is Queensland's premier T20 franchise-based tournament for Over 40s veterans cricketers. Now entering its third season, the tournament has become a cornerstone of veterans cricket in Australia.
Held annually in Brisbane during the winter months, the tournament brings together 10 franchise teams competing over four action-packed days at the historic Northern Suburbs Cricket Club in Wooloowin.
The tournament serves as a key selection event for the Australian Over 40s squad, with standout performances potentially leading to national representation at international competitions like the IMC World Cup.

Format & Rules
All matches are played in the exciting Twenty20 format, with each innings lasting a maximum of 20 overs.
Players must be 40 years of age or older to participate. This ensures fair competition among experienced cricketers.
Players are drafted into one of 10 franchise teams, creating balanced competition and team camaraderie.
Batsmen retire upon reaching 50 runs, with the ability to return once all other batsmen are out.
Teams can field 12 players per match, allowing for greater participation and squad rotation.
The tournament runs over four days, typically in mid-July, creating a festival atmosphere for players and supporters.
